Wedding Day

Well, it is 6:15 on March 29th and I have been up for almost two hours now. I thought I would sleep well last night after the long day we had but I guess I was wrong. You have so much running through your head that I think that your brain never really shuts down in these situations.

We had the rehearsal dinner last night and all went well. Seems as though some of my family and friends were intent on giving me a "roast" as a wedding present but it was all in good fun. We had a good dinner and laughed alot. My mom put together a dvd of some pictures of Becca and I so everyone got to see us as kids and us together as we start our new life.

I am sad that it will all be over soon. Mostly because that means that my brother and his family will be heading back to their home in Australia. It has been great to see them and I wish they could stay a little longer but they will be heading to California for a few days and then back home. All of our other friends who are from out of town will be leaving as well which means it will be awhile before we see them again. Some live in Austin, others in Nashville and some other family from Connecticut. They will all be missed greatly after they leave. We wish them safe journeys and traveling grace.

I am going to keep this post short because I am tired and I really think that I may have more to write after the wedding is over. My brain is just too busy right now to organize any thoughts and put them on digital paper.

Strength

Lord, grant me the strength to make it through another day. Help me to understand the blessings you have given me and see them for what they truly are. Help me not to lose myself in selfishness and see the plan you have for my life. Help me to take one day at a time and not try to outrun your blessings. Thank you for a wife that stands behind me, loves me and encourages me no matter what the circumstances and three children who love me unconditionally. Thank you for a child that calls me her Hero and sees no wrong. She sees me with your eyes. Help me to become a leader within my family and in what you have planned for me as your child. Carry me Lord, I know those footprints are yours.

Trust

Lord, grant me the ability to remember the thigs I have learned when I need it the most. Help me to trust that whatever you have planned for me is so much bigger than what I can see even from my highest point. Help me to have focus on you in my darkest hour and most of all, help me not to take all you have entrusted me with for granted.
